WHAT?

The Memphis Brass Festival is a week long experience designed exclusively for advanced high school and college undergraduate students (ages 16-23). Fifty of the finest trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, and tuba players will be selected to participate in daily masterclasses, chamber groups, private lessons, brass choirs, and concerts all led by the Memphis Brass Quintet and guest artist Jesse McCormick, second horn of the Cleveland Orchestra. The Memphis Brass Festival is one of the few Summer camps devoted exclusively to brass players, in which high school and college students will immerse themselves in an intensive week of artistic development.

WHERE?

The Memphis Brass Festival will take place on the campus of the University of Memphis. The University of Memphis is one of the nation’s great metropolitan universities and is located approximately 4 miles east of downtown on a 30 acre campus. For more information go here.

WHEN?

The Memphis Brass Festival will begin on the evening of June 7th, 2010 and end on June 12th, 2010.
